Cruiser has hives

I haven't been able to ride Cruiser since last Friday.  Cruiser, who always gets seasonal hives, got a few in the saddle area.  They burst open and were getting yucky.  On Monday, I called the vet to see if I could try the steroids that I used the last time.  She said it should help.  Sure enough, they are all dried up, and now the sores are healing.  I have been leading him up and down the hill that leads to the river for exercise.  I am hoping that I will be able to ride him this weekend.

I did ride Starry and Ranger on Sunday.  Kevin said I can have Starry this weekend if I still can't ride Cruiser.  Now, that's a great boyfriend.

No word on Cole and his operation.  I can't wait to get him.

Poor Cruiser. :( Are they cause by allergies? My appy mare used to get sweet itch all over her neck and chest every spring. At least it wasn't on her back.

Isn't it excruciating waiting to bring home a new horse? I thought I was going to go crazy waiting on Chrome, especially when we had that two week delay. I can't wait for you to get Cole home so we can see pictures! I'm so excited!
